Development of the bCAlytics data collection, processing and decision support system for industrial special-purpose machines
DIMOP_PLUSZ-1.1.2/A-24-2025-00288
Aim of the project
The aim of the development is to create an innovative data collection, processing and decision support system supported by generative artificial intelligence – bCAlytics – which can easily be connected to industrial automation systems (PLCs, robots) from a wide range of manufacturers.
The industrial data collection solutions available today are often closed, expensive and difficult to configure. By contrast, the bCAlytics system offers broad device support, user-friendly operation and flexible integration. It collects data using IoT technology, then processes and stores it in a cloud-based environment (AWS), supporting the optimisation of manufacturing efficiency and quality.
The main functions of the system include:
- collecting and processing operational data from industrial equipment,
- producing analyses and reports (e.g. downtime, cycle time, production performance),
- fault analysis and product traceability,
- sending automatic notifications about events,
- a generative AI-based interface where users can query production data in natural language.
The novelty of the bCAlytics system lies in the fact that it is not tied to a single manufacturer: it is capable of handling several types of industrial PLC and robot systems (e.g. Siemens, Omron, Nachi). It supports enterprise-level data analysis and can be integrated with ERP and MES systems.
Intended results
The development will result in a marketable, export-ready technological solution that increases the competitiveness of baseClass Automation Kft. and contributes to the advancement of industrial digitalisation and automation in Hungary.
The project is implemented with the support of the European Union.
