About us

Who we are

baseClass Automation Kft. is an engineering team based in Diósd, Hungary, delivering end-to-end solutions in industrial automation and custom machine building.

Mechanical and electrical engineers, PLC programmers and software developers work side by side, so the whole project stays in one pair of hands: from the concept through design, manufacturing and programming to installation and support. What sets us apart is innovative, flexible engineering tailored precisely to each customer.

Our customers include automotive suppliers, pharmaceutical and FMCG manufacturers and international system integrators, both in Hungary and abroad.

Our machines won prizes at the Hungarian Industrial Special-Purpose Machine Grand Prix in both 2025 and 2026, and our designer Varga Gábor was named Special-Purpose Machine Designer of the Year 2025.

NP premium paper bag production line

A fully automated production line that turns printed and die-cut blanks into packaging-ready premium paper bags without any human intervention – complete with twisted handles and a reinforced top and base. Several units of the machine family are in operation, the most recent ones delivered to an overseas plant.

  • Nachi robots
  • Omron NX502
  • EtherCAT
  • Hot-melt
  • Machine vision
Technical details
  • Cycle time of 6.7 s (size S) and 7 s (sizes M and L), at over 90% availability
  • Three bag sizes, produced from 160 g/m² recycled paper
  • Four robots: a blank feeder, a distributor and two pick-off robots on linear axes, with a repeatability of ±0.04–0.05 mm
  • Seven vacuum trays index the blank between the stations, with positioning repeatability below 0.2 mm
  • Concealed, knot-free handle fixing: the handle is embedded into the reinforcement during the top folding and pneumatic pressing
  • 2D adhesive printing with 18 nozzles and bidirectional printing; thanks to the four-layer bond the base is stable without any additional reinforcement
  • Four parallel forming units bridge the slower forming phase, and the line is closed by a Japanese-style flattening and pressing belt
  • Omron NX502 control over an EtherCAT network, industrial tablet operator interface, dual-channel safety system
  • Overall dimensions of 18.2 × 5.7 × 3.5 m and a weight of some 13 tonnes; the complete line is run by 2 operators

2021 FMCG and household products

Autoline 3 – sponge product production line

A three-section automatic line that turns sponge sheets into finished products: cutting, double-sided milling, then turning the finished pieces, arranging them into packs and feeding the packaging machine.

  • Omron NJ
  • Omron 1S servo
  • High-speed cutting
  • Milling
Technical details
  • Output: 240 pcs/min, which at two pieces per pack means 45 packs/min
  • First section: cuts the sheet into strips and feeds them into a twin milling cell – eight milling discs work in parallel
  • Second section: collects the strips in a buffer and cuts them into blocks
  • Third section: turns the finished pieces, arranges 1–5 pieces per pack in one or two layers, and hands them over to the packaging line
  • Cutting accuracy of ±1 mm on the side edges, a maximum of 0.5% scrap and at least 95% availability
  • Sheet changeover in 11 seconds, product changeover in no more than 10 minutes with one operator, 96 product recipes stored on the operator interface
  • Omron NJ control, NA operator panel, servo drives and frequency inverters; overall dimensions of 7 × 5 × 2.1 m and a weight of some 4.8 tonnes

2016 Aluminium industry, automotive supplier

Robotic machining and inspection cell

A robot cell serving the machining of aluminium automotive components, covering every step from loading the milling machine through engraving and thread inspection to camera-based final inspection and palletising.

  • Fanuc robot
  • Omron control
  • Machine vision
  • Torque measurement
Technical details
  • A six-axis robot serves the machining centre: it picks the workpiece out of the bin, places it into a positioning station, loads it into the milling machine, then cleans the part and the fixture with compressed air
  • Machining is followed by engraving, thread inspection based on torque measurement, and finally camera-based inspection
  • Good parts are stacked onto a pallet by the robot, while rejects are carried out of the cell on a separate conveyor; a dedicated conveyor is available for sampling without stopping production
  • Three-bin material flow: two bins are always active while the third one waits to be exchanged, so a bin change never stops production
  • Capacity: 740 pcs per shift and 355,000 pcs per year of one of the product types, in 24/7 operation
  • Required overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) above 95.8%; the cell can be switched to manual mode within two hours
  • Three gripper types (parallel, vacuum and tray gripper), overall dimensions of 4.5 × 3.2 × 2.6 m
